Terms & Conditions
Scope of Work & Quotations
All work is executed strictly in accordance with the approved design layout, material specifications, and itemized quotation signed by the client. Any modification, addition, or deletion requested after work has commenced is treated as a contract amendment, requiring written approval and an updated cost estimate before execution. All quotations issued by Elite Decor are valid for 30 calendar days from the date of issuance, after which material costs may be revised based on market fluctuations.
Payment Terms & Milestone Schedule
Payments are structured around key progress milestones to maintain project momentum and ensure timely procurement of materials: 10–20% as a booking advance upon design sign-off and contract execution, 40–50% for material mobilization prior to ordering custom materials such as HDHMR, hardware, laminates and tiles, 25–30% upon completion of on-site civil work, false ceilings and rough-in services, and the remaining 5–10% on final handover after punch-list rectification. Work may be temporarily suspended if milestone payments are delayed beyond 5 business days, and outstanding payments may attract a late fee of 1.5% per month.
Site Access & Client Responsibilities
The client is solely responsible for securing all necessary society, building management, or municipal approvals, work permits, and gate passes prior to the scheduled start date, and must provide continuous access to electricity and water on-site at their own expense. Hidden structural defects such as concealed water leakage, dampness, structural cracks, or outdated wiring and plumbing discovered during execution are not covered under the initial quote and will incur additional repair estimates.
Timelines & Project Delays
Estimated completion timelines are calculated from the date of full site handover, initial advance payment clearance, and complete design approval. Delays resulting from force majeure events, building association work-hour restrictions, delayed material selections or approvals by the client, or delayed milestone payments will extend the delivery schedule accordingly.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
If a project is cancelled prior to material procurement, the initial booking deposit is non-refundable, as it covers administrative, layout, and design overhead. If cancelled after material procurement, actual expenses incurred for materials ordered, custom fabrications completed, and labor paid will be deducted along with a 15% administrative fee; custom or made-to-order materials are non-refundable. Elite Decor also reserves the right to terminate the agreement in cases of persistent client default, including non-payment or unreasonable denial of site access.
Warranty & Defect Liability
Elite Decor provides a 12-month defect liability warranty covering contractor workmanship and custom joinery or carpentry, starting from the formal handover date. Hardware fittings, appliances, electrical fixtures, laminates, and tiles carry their respective manufacturers' standard warranties, and claims for product manufacturing defects are directed to the manufacturer. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, water ingress or dampness from external structural sources, unapproved third-party modifications, or misuse.
